Author Jim Krane, Wallace S. Wilson Fellow for Energy Studies at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, traces the history of the Gulf states’ energy use and policies, looking in particular at how energy subsidies have distorted demand. Krane expertly lays out the hard choices that Gulf leaders face to keep petro-states viable in a world increasingly focused on combating climate change.

Following Dr. Krane’s presentation, he will join Robert McNally, President of Rapidan Energy Group and non-resident fellow at the Center on Global Energy Policy, on a panel moderated by Jonathan Elkind, Fellow and Senior Research Scholar at the Center on Global Energy Policy.

A book signing and reception will follow. A limited number of books will be sold at this event.

Registration is free but REQUIRED for this event: HERE
